You can always tell when someone has just found their match. There is a way that they interact. A look that they give one another. That cute smile, and the way she giggles as he whispers something in her ear.
And when I see that, it just makes me melt. Because engagement photos are not just about the way you look right now, they are about how you feel about each other. Right now, in this moment, in this chapter of your love story. You may have just met, or dated for years, and soon, you will be Husband and Wife for the rest of your days. But as soon as you set a date, the clock starts to count down the time you have as each other’s fiancé. That time is so, so limited. It will be one of the shortest chapters in your life together.
And that’s why I love it. There is so much anticipation about what comes next. So much excitement about your wedding day and the future that stands in front of you. And at no other time do you get to stand next to your favorite person in the world and just be engaged.
Leah and Jake are a perfect example of that, after dating for just about three years they are already counting down the days to their December wedding, but they were determined to not let these precious moments slip by. And absolutely precious they were.
Along with their golden doodle, Annie, Leah and Jake were absolute rock stars at the session. From finding a parking spot at the stunning, but busy Cheesman Park to going along with every weird and crazy thing I suggested, to Annie’s adorable dance moves I couldn’t think of anything that could have been better! Just looking through these images makes me wish our time together had been ten times longer.
Jake and Leah, your love for one another is infectious, and I can’t get over just how crazy about each other you look in every one of your images!
Than you so much for allowing me the pleasure of capturing this chapter for you two! Your wedding is going to be so beautiful, just like you.
Oh, and please give Annie a treat for me! She rocked every pose we gave her!
