Nestled somewhere one the I-70 corridor, about an hour from the star stuck ski town of Aspen is a little town named after dirt. If you blink, you might miss it. There’s not a stop light in the town. Farmers herd sheep through the streets. And it was once our home.
Kyle and I lived in the little town of Silt for just over a year. And while our tiny one bedroom basement apartment often left something to be desired the area had a quaint feel to it. And the people we met in that year are some of the kindest and closest friends we have today.
One such friend is Kelly. I ended up working with Kelly at the local jewelry store as we both attended the local college. She was one of my first volunteers as I started my photography journey and we’ve kept in contact ever since! Bubbly, fun and kind she was always one of my favorite people to be around.
A few years later she met Kyle. And sparks flew! Sometimes you meet someone and it just feels right. With Kyles son Brody and their two pups they quickly became a perfect little family! And now their family is growing by one!!
Kelly, Kyle and Brody are excited to announce that they are expecting a baby boy this summer! I am so excited for them! And I couldn’t wait to get Kelly in front of my camera again! We reconnected once again in Silt and had the best time chasing dogs, trying to breath through clouds of blue smoke and doing everything we could to keep a young boys jeans from getting too many grass stains. I was instantly reminded why I loved working with her all those years ago and watching her and Kyle together as they celebrate this new chapter together was the best way to spend an evening!
Thank you both so much for allowing me to be a part of your story! I can’t wait to meet your new addition!
